Pronouns: They/Them
I’ve loved creating stories and characters for as long as I can remember. It’s honestly just how my brain works. When I look at someone or interact with something a story idea will pop into my head. Thinking up those stories and sketching them out has always been something I enjoy and it was, and still is, how I spend most of my time. But when I started looking into art as a career I thought I had to go for something more 'practical'.

Because of that, and to be fair, my own love of learning, I wound up with a pretty varied education. I earned degrees in graphic design and biomedical art, my masters in visual development, and studied everything from game design, sculpture, music, photography, acting, costume design, and forensic anthropology. I really enjoyed learning about so many different things and am grateful for the experiences giving me a unique perspective for solving design problems. But it took me all of that time to finally realize that I need to pursue a career in what I’m most passionate about.

I have a much clearer idea of what I want to do as a working artist now. To create stories and characters that connect with people, getting ideas across without needing a single word. I strive to create art that helps people understand their own and each other’s unique situations better so that they can be informed advocates for themselves, live better lives, and have more empathy and understanding for those around them. Be that through character, prop, or creature design, or storyboarding.

Or, ya know, just making something super cool.
